This week went well.  Elder Granado really enjoyed the candy and stuff you sent him in the package.  He says, "Your mom is the best mom out of all my companions."  So that is good.  We were able to find a new investigator this week and we were able to set a baptismal date with Valerie, one our current progressing investigators.  Alex is going to be baptized on June 28th.  He came to church again yesterday and he is in love with it.  He has already made friends and he can't stop talking about how much he loves to pray and go to church.  I am excited for his baptism.  Here is a picture of us at church.

Bout that life doe

This week was pretty good.  We had to drop a lot of our investigators though because they weren't keeping commitments.  So we are starting with a pretty clean slate.  We have one investigator, Alex, who has a baptismal date for June 28th and he stayed all 3 hours for church yesterday.  He was saying the whole time, "I can't wait to be baptized".  He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met.   He has his wife, Brenda, who we hope will also get baptized and he has a son, Alex Jr who is 2 1/2 years old.  They are a great young family and I think they realize the blessings that will come from living the gospel.

Elder Granado and I performed a song at a guitar shop open mic night.  Well, actually 2 songs.  We first sang "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison.  We learned it a couple days ago because his mom sent him the chords.  We played it and everyone was singing a long and it was great.  But of course, being missionaries, we had to throw down a song about the Book of Mormon.  We sang "How Can I be"  for our second song which talks about characters from the BOM.  The people loved us and we are preparing to go back for the next open mic night in a month.  We also got a couple contacts out of it, so that's good.

The church is true and keeping the commandments of God is the best way to live your life.  Follow the prophets and remember the Atonement and you will see immense happiness as a result.

Elder Granado is a great guy and he's way funny.  He has taught me a lot of tricks on the ukelele so that's good.  We had an alright week.  We had a lesson with one of our newest investigators, Alex.   He said a prayer at the end and said he felt calm and peaceful.  He also was quoted as saying "So, the person who baptized me probably didn't have the right authority.  I understand."  So that's good.  He said he is interested in getting baptized again, the right way.  He's a great dude and he would make a great member.  He has a young family so I think he realizes this is what is best for them.

I instructed my first district meeting.  It was on patience.   I thought it went quite well and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.  I have a leadership training meeting tomorrow and I get to hang out with President Becerra all day, so that's always a treat.

Being a missionary seriously rules.  It's definitely funner than a lot of things I would be doing at home.  I hope to hear from all you guys, it would be great to know what is going on in the real world.  I'm almost 4 months old.  It's flying by!
