Another Glorious P Day

Last week was alright, ha ha.  We had a ton of let downs and such.  Right when it seemed to be going well with new investigators it kind of fizzled out or they told us straight up they weren't interested anymore.  But hey, Elder G and I will keep the faith.   I was able to score a pretty sick Nike hoodie at a yard sale for dirt cheap, so that was probably a highlight of the week.  Oh, one night we went out walking to see some people and such and we had our Uke with us and this old guy comes up to us and starts singing and dancing with us.  He then went inside to get his guitar and he started to play along with the songs we were playing, completely by ear!   It was amazing.  He was very talented.  Not interested in the gospel of Jesus Christ but a very talented musician.

We had a picnic for Pioneer day on Saturday with the whole stake.  We were able to get a new investigator there with a woman from the ward whose son just moved back from Tex and said that he wants to get baptized.  So that was probably the biggest miracle this week, his name is Raymond.  We will see how that goes.

You probably aren't very interested in these details but, what you should be interested in is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can and will  TRANSFORM you into the person that Heavenly Father wants you to be.  Follow the prophet, keep the commandments and live like Christ.  I promise that you will BECOME a divine disciple of our Father in Heaven.

Peace out 'til next week pals.  Write me back!

Spanish Fork 6th ward

Thank you all for your support.  I am so grateful for everything.  I hope things are going well back there.   I just say hop because you never know with my dad in the bishopric!   haha.  Now, to all you young men and women that are considering going on a mission, do it!  It is so fun.  It is the most rewarding work out there.   I love being able to see the Lord's hand have a lasting chance on someone's life.

Second the gospel blesses families!  one of the biggest evidence of this to me is...As a missionary you go into a lot of people's homes.  The contrast between at active members home and a home without the gospel tremendous.  There is nothign better than, after hours of biking in the 100 degree weather, stopping into a members home a literally feeling the love of God.  No matter if I've never met the person or even seen the home, if the home is centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, everyone who enters it will be comfortable.

Lastly, the Gospel is true.  The church isn't true, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is.   Live by the gospel and you will prosper.

With Love,

Elder Bradford

Time flies when you're having fun!

This week went pretty well.  We had a lot of investigators drop us for stupid reasons, but elder Granado and I always end up having fun.  It is such a treat when members decide to take us out to eat at nice restaurants and it seems to be Elder Granado's favorite thing about missionary work., besides P-day.  He loves P-day.  I love it as well but he has an extreme obsession with it that no man can understand.  We were able to combine our musical talents this week and learn "Best day of My life"  on the Ukulele.  I'm going to miss having a musical companion when I get transferred.

Wow, I have been out for almost 5 months!  Time has flown by.  It's crazy the amount of life lessons and street knowledge one person can gain in that amount of time.  I can actually talk to adults now without being scared and mumbling.  It's a miracle.  I have learned a lot out here but the one thing that I think is the most important is that I have learned to love other people.  I'm not an expert yet, but I am a lot better than I was.  Ha ha.  I love being a missionary.

On Friday, about 4 of our investigators all text us and dropped us.  It was stinky and we were down in the dumps for that day.  However, we went out Saturday and worked hard and were able to contact some potential investigators and even got a referral.  Elder Granado and I have seen the miracle of maintaining your faith this week.  LOL, sorry that I just mumbled on for a long time but I hope you enjoyed.
Cow Appreciation day at Chick-Fil-A.  Ha ha classic!

June 30, 2014

This week was fantastic!  We had a lot of fun and did a ton of wholesome things.  We were able to find 3 new investigators and set a baptismal date with Reuben, one of our newest investigators.   We worked hard and we played hard this week.  We played hard because we went to the LA temple visitors center with Alex and Brenda.  It was a ton of fun, I love going there.  They enjoyed it a lot and Brenda even opened up and answered some thought provoking questions.  In my opinion the highlight of the week was Saturday, Alex's baptism.  It was awesome.  It is so fulfilling and spiritually satisfying to see someone make the sacred covenant with God.  i had the privileged to baptize him and the Spirit that was being felt in the font was like none other.  He is a great dud and I was so proud of his decision.  He is probably one of the best friends I've ever had.  I definitely saw the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week.

I would love to hear from you guys.  If you feel so inclined as to write me back, I wouldn't object.  Love you all!  justin.bradford@myldsmail.net
