I am sorry that I was not able to write yesterday, we were doing some powerful activities and we were super busy, so we decided we would hit the cyber today to do some emailing! This week was one of the best weeks I have experienced on my mission. Things went very well, and I was definitely able to experience some spiritual rejuvenation!
On Wed we had Mission Leadership Conference, it was awesome! The highlight was probably the KFC at the end, but there were many other positive things associated with the event! It is always nice to get together with other missionaries and discuss ideas and problems of the mission. They really highlighted this time about becoming "Full-purpose missionaries. Which basically means focusing on our entire purpose, rather than just baptism, gift of the Holy ghost, then bye. Our purpose as missionaries is to "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gosple through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end" We were told to emphasize to our zones that we should teach more bout enduring to the end and the ghings associated with it, the temple endowment, sealings. I just look forward to the day when I can meet all of the great people I have met on my mission in the Kenya, Nairobi temple:)
On Thursday we went on exchanges with the Elders in Lucky Summer. I was able to work here in Kayole with a rather new missionary. He is very energetic because he has just recently finished his trainig. It was good to work with him. He was real inspiration to me in the way that he contacts and teaches. he is one of the catalysts in my spiritual rujuvenation this week. Exchanges are on e of the best things on a mission, I love them
Friday was just a normal day, teaching finding and following the Spirit. I have come to love these so-called normal days. the life of a missionary is just so fulfilling and whole. I have found great peace and energy by being under the vibrating influence of the Holy Ghost day by day!
Sunday we had a powerful fireside with the members and we pretty much blasted them for not doing what they are supposed to do, which resulted in may dinner appointments:) ha ha
Oh, I almost forgot, there was chaos in a place called Mwiki which we had to pass through on our Thursday to get to Lucky Summer. The people were mad because the road was in horrible conditions so they started to burn tires, signs, people etc. in the middle of the roadway. Police were everywhere and people were mad! It was crazy. Then I Friday I saw someone get stoned, like stoned. Not the Marijuana kind, actual rocks. It was saddening...Justice but no mercy. That's why Jesus is the answer people! He's got them both.
